College is far more than simply a sequel to high school. It is a big change in a young adult’s life. It requires discipline and a willingness to work hard. Pay attention to everything when you plan, and work with your family to be sure you are prepared when the time comes.
When you go to college, bring along shampoo, conditioner, soap and so on. These are important. You don’t want to move into your dorm and then find you don’t have any toilet paper! Purchasing in bulk is also a smart option, to make sure that you do not run out.
When you make out your work and class schedule, be realistic. If mornings aren’t your cup of tea, you may want to rethink registering for a tough course that meets first thing in the morning. Pay attention to when you feel the most energetic, and schedule your classes around that when you can.
Make healthy food choices. The freshman 15 isn’t an exaggeration. Make sure to be mindful of your eating. Fast food, pizza and alcohol can really add to your waistline. Although this may see seem like a quick and affordable solution, the pounds can slowly start to creep up on you. Also, you won’t be receiving the energy that you need in order to perform at your best in class.
Spending a large portion of your day on study is crucial. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out. Socializing is fine, but you need to devote a certain amount of time to studying each day. Your success later in life depends in large part on your success in college.
NOw that you know a bit more about what college is like, start your plan! Your time in college is a time where you want to make sure that you have all your ducks in a row.
