Save Cash By Getting Your HVAC Work Done The Right Way

TIP! Help the outside condenser fan run efficiently by cleaning the coils and fan blades before the summer starts. Except when cleaning the outside, turn the unit off when performing any type of maintenance.

There are a wide variety of options available and may even be a bit overwhelming if you do not know what to look for when purchasing an HVAC. How do you know what type of system to buy? What size do you need? What features? It can be hard to figure out what you need. If this sounds like you, continue reading to learn what you need to know about getting the perfect system for your home or business.

TIP! You should clean your condenser fan’s blades and coils every spring. Be sure to turn the power off first; you don’t want anything to move.

Your outside condenser fan can be helped to run better by you cleaning the fan blades and coils prior to summer starting up. Be safe and turn off the power supply before working on your HVAC unit. Also, be sure to clear leaves and debris from your condenser unit.

Outdoor condenser units need to be cleaned regularly. Excess debris can really affect your system’s quality. It will damage the system by overheating.

TIP! HVAC units may suffer when leaves are falling off the trees. During this time of year, check and clear off the fan grill on your unit on a regular basis.

The coils and blades on the fans should be cleaned once a year. Make sure to turn off the fan’s power first to be safe. Then remove the grill, remove the blades and clean it from top to bottom gently.

TIP! Check to determine if the fan condenser on your HVAC system is equipped with oil ports, and if it is, be sure to lubricate every year. These are usually covered with rubber or metal caps.

Keep your outdoor units free of debris when you are mowing the lawn. Aim the grass in a different direction from the unit. Also do this when blowing leaves or shoveling snow.

TIP! Your HVAC system should be checked a few times a year. The fall and spring are the optimal times for this maintenance.

When selecting a location for an outdoor compressor, opt for a shady area, if possible. If it sucks in cool air, it will need to work less to coll the air inside, which can make it last longer.

Hvac System

TIP! To help keep your energy costs down, have your heating and cooling system serviced at least once a year. The motor should be checked, the parts oiled and the freon levels inspected.

It can be overwhelming to find a HVAC system. That decision just became a little bit easier though, now that you have the advice of experts in hand. Read these tips again if needed, and maintain a great HVAC system.
